Do not use this tool! Sudoku's are a great mental exercise. Using this tool will ruin the fun and not give any satisfaction.
So why did I make this?
As I have solved sudoku's regularly, I recognised it comes down to the same strategies to eliminate possibilities and find the correct digits. So purely for my own development I wanted to see if I'd be able to capture that in code.
It solves all the sudoku's in the two books that I have, and so far all the ones that sudoku websites generate. But I did find some notoriously difficult yet allegedly solvable sudoku's that it doesn't solve. That means that there are still some strategies that I haven't identified yet, let alone implemented. Those automatically generated sudoku's might just use the same mechanics that I used here, and thus this tool solves those. But in any case I'm happy with the result and will not put in more effort in what is essentially quite a useless tool.
You can, however, use it to check your answers, or find to out which clues were redundant by removing them one by one and see if the sudoku is still solvable.
